Server Transfer Purchase

So my friend is looking to buy a fairly rare item cross server. Wanted to know a few pieces of information if anyone knows it would help a lot!

1. How long must you wait after creating a new character to transfer it?
2. Can you transfer characters 1 by 1 at different times? If so is there a window of time in which you can do this? How long?

One or all at a time, instantly upon creation, I hopped to Levi and left my GF's mithra on Carby, came back to Levi and it's still here.

nope, he could move it immediately.

you can move them seperately, but you'll have to call a gm to move any (that you didn't move originally) after the first time, as long as it's within a week of purchasing the world transfer. you can use this to buy an item from another server and then send it back to your server without paying for two world transfers.

As long as that character was created on an account that was at least 90 days old and had not used transfer in the last 90 days, then yes, he can transfer it immediately. It will require either a 2nd account or a 90 day wait to get it back however.

Edit: You can try the GM thing - from what I have heard it will depend on the GM you get as to whether or not you can move something back on the same transfer purchase.

I'd say that you'd be more likely to get an entirely different content id moved back than a transferred one.

Like me, I've got my taru, my mithra, and my elf bitch.

I see an item on Remora, I move the mithra over and buy it, delete my elf bitch and remake her on Remora, give her the item, then try to get it sent home.

Seems like an awful lot of trouble for something relatively less rare on a different server, is it that rare to be worth a transfer versus waiting for the item to appear on your sever?

Tier 0 HQ and no one bothers to craft that is a complete loss atm. :< Like...really bad. And he really wants it! So yeah.

I've done it before. I wish I had heard about this GM move to save some money >.>

All I did was make an account on my current server, gave it gil and transferred to the new server. Made a new account on a separate POL account to get the item and returned it to my server. Waste of money in a lot of ways but at the time, I REALLY wanted it lol.
