I'm sure this has happened to many of you, but I'm fucking ANGRY. I've been camping her for three hours, killing the placeholders. It's obvious he knew what I was up to only killing 2 monsters every five minutes, but holy shit I'm furious. Some little fucking faggot kid taking advantage of me. There's really nothing I could have done since I, afterall, was willing to camp anyway... but it's still principle. You don't do this shit. It's rude and childish.

Either way, even if I totally disagree with this being worthy of ranting about as it's kinda' how it is regardless of server, doing that shit by just /following someone is a rather asshole maneuver. I do my own wandering around. I think my odds are a little higher doing my own hunting and possibly finding it up myself than /following someone and hoping I can chi/provoke/etc it sooner with the lag of being behind someone.

I'm 1/3 on LL on my current character and even went 1/1 on a pair for a 14-day trial account I was using to dualbox Fusion weaponskills to unlock King's Justice while under level sync. Theyre not that hard to get. But yeah, if I were you Id've spammed his screen with profanities, and moved on.

:\ yeah pretty much this in a nutshell, I was running around sky lurking around one of my friends, and they were fighting zippy, and when i zone in their last mage died, and it was @ 1% so I claimed it and got the drop, and I raised their shell and they bought it out of my bazaar, and I told that to my friends last night during ACP and they bitched me out, what the fuck am I suppose to do in a situation like that? raise someone while zippy walks back and regens to 100% and this time sit and watch them wipe or cure off the side and have it go ape shit on me because I'm a pld and i have so much fucking enmity on me that I'd probably pull hate from their retarded tanks? ( they had 3 paladins and wiped :\)

oh well, they didn't have to buy it out of my bazaar for 600k but they did and that's their choice. this is just how the game works, don't expect everyone to be a bunch of goodie two-shoes who are gonna give you the NM you have been camping for who knows how long, I've had it happen to me on VE and LL a TON of times and I don't even want to camp VE anymore because of how many times I've been out claimed after poping the NM.

This really made me laugh. Just cause you got lucky twice doesn't mean they aren't a very rare drop. In my case I lost count of how many kills it took for boots to drop for me, but I can tell you it was no less then 40 kills. Anyways, in response to the OP while I agree that /follow camping is both extremely annoying and very lame that's just life.

I'm a bit confused. Why not just make a quick macro that changes gear so he'll need to re-follow over and over until he gives up on it. I used to camp megalo a lot, and knew his PHs, timers, etc. If some idiot showed up to camp against me who did not know how to properly camp it I didn't pop it. I'd go back to my main char and do something else while he/she killed the wrong PH for hours on end and never saw the pop. Or, if they killed all the bugards I'd set a 5 min timer when he killed the right one.

You could have also just put him on /follow and given him a taste of his own medicine. It was your own call to keep killing PHs. You in essence popped it for him, and lost claim, it sucks ass don't get me wrong, but seems like you could have done more to inconvenience him. Hell, I had one ass who tried to /follow me, so what I did was I ran to the area in lufaise with the high level birds/buffalo and ran into the agro range and switched gear right before I ran infront of a bird which slingshotted him into agro. You could have done the same thing out of the zone.

But yeah OP, NMs are bloody frustrating and people mooching widescan is quite irritating, but there are ways to throw them off. Anyways, it's other people's entitlement to camp, but it'd also be swell if they didn't.

Worse than getting camped against is when you're a lowbie killing lizards and morons tell you "you're making it take longer to pop". Protip: there is no magic way to speed up an NM popping.

Sorry I understand your frustration but yellow mob is fair game. Following someone around is definitely annoying but not really a bad strategy as long as it's not /follow that's retarded. Only real time I think this rule doesn't apply is when people are mid fight and accidentally have the monster go yellow. Stealing a mob at that point is an asshole move even though not really against the TOS.
