Which was your last LinkShell, and why did you leave?(Question asked on website) Equilibrium on Seraph, my reason for originally leaving the server and the shell was mainly because Zubuis, the leader of EQ, his wife quit, so I was kind of sad about that. I decided to lay low a bit, and told everybody that I was taking a break from the game. When I stopped being busy, and was able to come back, I decided that I would like to start a new journey, fresh, on a different server, and thus, I chose Ramuh. I transferred around the end of last year IIRC and I have been loving this server ever since. Zubui's wife was kind of the reason why I moved to Seraph in the first place, so with her gone it was kind of weird for me. Don't get me wrong though, the shell was going fine and I did enjoy my time there, but I changed my mind and decided i'd like to start anew on a new server after I returned, so here I am. I have not actually told anybody in EQ that I am here now, which is kind of rude of me... i'm thinking of probably doing that if you ask me to, but yeah. I didn't run off with the LS bank or any drama, etc

Hello, i'd like to try and clear some stuff up as much as I can. I am Konoko, the current/new owner of the tarutaru on Ramuh that was once Tranced on Seraph.

I would like to kind of explain my presence here and how I came to acquiring Trance's account, to clear up any drama or crazy shit that may have been created in the making of my application to Pixies.

I am not Tranced.
I am a friend of Tranced, and have been for about a year going now. When I came into contact with Trance, I didn't play Final Fantasy at that time. I did play it a ways back, in 2006, but my character was very weak, it had no 75 jobs, and it was pretty much a nobody. I was never able to experience endgame because of this. Fast forward a year or two later, and we have me still interested in this game, but more intrigued by the endgame factor. I was looking for endgame shells, just for the heck of it, and came across Equilibrium of the Seraph server. There, I then met Tranced, who somewhat resembled what I dreamed of becoming as an ideal FFXI player, being the same tarutaru model as me as well. I started getting into contact with him and we then slowly began to grow on each other. He explained to me what he did in Equilibrium frequently, and his adventures as well. It was very amusing for me, being that I had never been in endgame or done anything related to that before, so all this stuff was totally new to me. I was very interested in what he told me he had accomplished, and what he told me he had done with you guys.

But then, in the middle of 2008 or so, I believe Trance had seemingly lost interest in the game, or some events of his life were making it so that he seemingly had to move on, and was contemplating leaving, maybe even quitting. He told me this, and I also talked to him about it as well. He then told me he was planning on selling his account for real money, I then offered for him to just pass the account onto me, whom he had been friends with for quite some time. I gave him some time to think it over a bit, and it was actually quite strange, seeing as if he passed it onto me, I would technically become Tranced. The good news is that he decided to not sell his account for real money, and instead pass the account onto me. The bad news was that I now had to deal with the problem of seemingly being somebody that I am not. I could not be Tranced, even though we had known each other for quite awhile, I just was not as good as him. I needed to learn, and improve myself; I didn't know how to act like Trance, I didn't have the skill that Trance had either. It was a real problem, I told Trance myself that it would be nearly impossible for me to replace him ingame and continue building off of him. He then offered me to just move servers, change my name, and start brand new on a different server. I kind of condoned this at first, since I believed Trance had many friends he cared about on Seraph, but then realized that it would probably be the best solution for me right now, so I then decided to move to Ramuh.

I server-transferred to Ramuh towards the end of 2008, around November~December, moving from Seraph. I then decided to just hang low, and seemingly relearn the fundamentals of the game, and improve on myself until I could reach the calibur that Trance had, and that is what I did for a few monthes. I then began to grow bored of the average merit party, I was closing in to capping my merits on most of the jobs Trance had; so I decided to put up a notice looking to do Salvage with a group. I had been told of Trance's runs in Salvage, and I was very interested in continuing what he was working towards, so after some time, I eventually got a hook-up from Kiriyu, who then lead me to Ponto and his group. We did Salvage on and off for quite awhile, it was very fun, and we are still doing Salvage at the time of this post. I really enjoy doing it, and I am working towards completing some pieces from different zones. After a few runs though, I kind of grew on Ponto and the group that I was going with, that consisted mainly of Pixies members. Ponto then asked if I was interested in joining Pixies, and I thought about it quite hard, but the longstanding problem that emerged was that if I were to apply to Pixies, there would be a background check, and what would I say then? It was quite a pickle I was in; to be honest, when I moved to Ramuh, I had not planned on ever joining an endgame shell, mostly because Trance had most of his endgame gear down for most of his jobs, but Ponto seemingly touched a dormant part of my mind that sparked some interest in returning to the endgame scene and experiencing it first-hand for myself. I knew that eventually, I would apply to Pixies, and then it hit me that i'd need some help.

I have still been keeping in touch with Trance when I can, telling him of what I have accomplished on his character and what I have yet to do, but just recently I told him that I was asked to apply to an endgame shell on my new server, and they probably would go about doing a background check, which left me totally mystified as to how I would handle something like that. Trance offered to make a story for me to use, so he could hopefully help me transition smoothly into this shell, but apparently he seems to have gotten some of his facts wrong, so this is where I step in and admit the truth. I will be somewhat brief from here on, and say that I did not mean to cause any drama over this; I really like Ponto, Gherman, Arshesney, Kamuii, and lots of people in Pixies, and wish to hang out with them more and experience endgame stuff with them when I can, so this is how I was swayed back into joining the endgame.

Also, on the case of Trance essentially "taking" the Novio and 5M out of your LS Bank before he quit the game and passed on the account to me;
To Zubuis and Liltulip, I apologize for any of the trouble that this may have caused your shell. I was NOT informed by Trance that he had recently acquired these items prior to quitting (I was told by him that he had recently completed Morrigan's Robe, but I was not informed that he took 5M out of the LS back to achieve that.), so I was totally oblivious to any of these things being taken from the shell before I transferred. Had I knew, I would have returned them to you guys and reimbursed you the gil as well. I, myself feel quite bad for having taken them with me when I transferred last year myself, and if there's anything I can do, I will do my best to make sure that you guys are reimbursed for them. I am willing to give them back if that is what you wish. I did not mean to cause any harm to your shell by leaving with those things in mind, and I again, apologize for that.

I am currently in the process of contacting Trance myself so we can talk over this on how to possibly reach a solution; I am possibly going to ask him to post in this thread his concerns as well if possible, please look forward to that. Also, I have no idea if Tranced ever told anybody about me ingame or not (I'm not sure why he would mention me either, it's not like I was some other player on a different server at that time; I wasn't even playing the game when I knew him.), knowing that he was indeed a quiet player, i'm not sure if he ever did mention me anywhere, he never told me if he did.

Well getting back the novio would be nice. He did receive 5mil towards his salvage body as well. Beyond that I am not sure he received anything else thats sellable. Was mostly just salvage gear, dynamis gear and a wyrmal body. I think he had got a cerberus mantle as a wishlist item but theyre pretty cheap now so not a big deal there. Would there be anyway to return the novio on a mule or something?

Nice to see people just admit to what they've done though, instead of making excuses. Good luck with your new shell Konoko.

This is the real Tranced /wave First of all, I would to take this opportunity to apologize to EQ for not mentioning that I quit the game and passed on the account. I just wanted to leave the game behind since it was holding me back
in life at the same time my brother's wife and eventually my brother (Cyrex and Cyren) quit the game altogether which Nick confused with Zubuis lol Initially, after I gave the account to Nick/Konoko, what I really wanted was for Tranced to stay with EQ but for the reason Nick stated..it wasn't a good idea so I just suggested to move to another server. Now, as for the Novio. I think I deserved this item since I been in the ls for 1 year and was very active. Don't you agree Zub? As for the salvage body, I had no idea the 5M was a loan. It was never mentioned we had to pay it back. I thought it was given to the members that actively does salvage. I've never seen you guys try to collect 5M from the members that quit EQ with salvage body. Again, with my 70+ salvage attendance..it was well deserved. I think you should clear this up with the present EQ members so there won't be any confusion if they do decide to quit the ls.

Konoko is a really nice. I've known him for over a year now. He has a really nice personality and very friendly. He is eager and determined to be the best at his job..constantly researching and asking me questions to further improve his skills. Thats the kind of member a good hnmls should have.

Well I didnt mention that we expected the 5million back - I just said you had received 5 mil from the ls towards your body. In my previous post, I just said it would be nice to get the novio back. And I said it would be nice if you return the novio on a mule, not return a novio +5mil. Novio is one of the items we expect people to give back when they leave/quit the linkshell, although the few times it has happened most people tend to not be cooperative about it. Its not a question whether or not you deserved it, its just a question of whether you want to benefit and improve the linkshell you were part of. It takes 18 people to get a novio, not 1.

If you do choose to return the Novio, you can get ahold of myself or Liltulip on Seraph server. If not then, thats the way the cookie crumbles. Choice is yours.

Hello, Zubuis, I wasn't sure whether I needed to comment any more on this topic or anything, but here I am posting again. I apologize for any drama this whole fiasco has caused, I didn't mean to spark any type of crazy shit or anything; when Tranced gave me the basic lowdown on what I should tell Pixies, I wasn't really sure if it was a good idea at first, and then this whole thing happened, because I totally misinterpreted what he had initially told me as well! But in the end, I believe you (Zubuis), would have found out anyways, seeing as I am in California, and he is in New York, and other random discrepancies between him and me, it just wouldn't work that we could have done a simple switch of hand on the account without keeping the real Trance's identity in check.

But anyways, I am not sure what to do with the Novio Earring, to be honest. I use it everytime, or nearly everytime I play Black Mage, which is quite alot, and I do agree that it is very useful. I'm not really sure however if I owe you guys in terms of the actual item, or what Tranced would do if we was in this situation, and he was still playing the game to this day, so yeah. I'll probably have to think it over a bit. Also, on the topic of if i'd return it or not, i'm kind of stuck currently because I recently used my server transfer feature to go cross-server to pick up a large chunk of currency to complete the currency amount needed for fourth stage Amano, which is currently one of my longstanding projects in this game at the moment, so my server transfer ability will probably not be available for around 3 monthes from now, so that may pose a problem if I did wish to return it.

I thank you and Tranced for your help in this, and i'm still crossing my fingers for Pixies, but we'll see how it goes.

Well, yeah, the whole thing may sound very farfetched, but it's really what went down, in all honesty. I do -not- want to cause any unnecessary drama here, I mean, i've been playing on the Ramuh server fine ever since I transferred Trance last year, i've made a decent amount of friends, and no enemies to my knowledge, so i'd prefer not to be outcasted from the community here.

Again, on the earring, I can return it, if Zubuis is really big on having it returned to the shell. When you think about it, in all reality, server transferring (and technically running) with the earring, which is supposedly the property of EQ, can reasonably be considered thievery. I'm sure Trance may want to think otherwise, but then again, it's what he earned in his time with EQ. I'm not going to hold it against him, i'll return the earring (and also, to a higher extent, the 5m if you wish to have that back as well; I am an ebisu fishing rod holder and have level 100 fishing, and fish consistently everyday, so I do have a consistent source of income. That also ties into why I chose to start work on upgrading a relic, with fishing and ENMing mainly funding it.) in 3 monthes if you really wish to have it back, and i'll cover the 25$ fee as well, it's not that big of a deal.

I'm kind of worried of what my leaving may have done to EQ, I mean, the shell itself should technically be doing fine, and i'm sure you guys are. I feel a bit bad though when I think about me leaving with Tranced, and essentially robbing EQ of a skilled and dedicated member (I'm sure Tranced was back then, according to what he and me talked about when he was still actively playing FF.), and i'd like to apologize for that, if he were to come back then it would have been different probably.

Sure you can just return it in 2.5 months. You dont need to return the 5mil. Just find myself or Liltulip on Seraph.

The shell itself is fine. We have been going on for a long time, we have strong leadership, good members and are resilient. Losing a novio earring really doesnt have much effect on the linkshell because this is not the first time it happened nor the end probably. It just is linkshell property and we expect people to give them back when they quit the game or leave the linkshell, so we can give them to other members and improve our linkshell. As far as one member leaving the linkshell, it doesnt have much impact either because 1 member leaving your linkshell isnt going to make or break your linkshell and if it does, your linkshell probably not too solid to begin with.
