I wonder how they'll handle the graphics on a next-gen console... I'm not worried about anything story related, I loved P3 and P4 for story, gameplay and music, so all that leaves is graphics.

Speaking of persona I believe the first game never came out in NA? Watching gamespot's live show day 3 and they mentioned a persona game for the DS.

The first persona is being ported to PSP. not sure if its out in JP yet, nor if it will be brought to US/UK etc

well let's be fair, nothing wrong with persona 5. but SMT IV would be awesome. though I doubt they will be able to top SMT III, best game in the entire SMT universe. I'd love to see them try though.

Isn't Persona just SMT with a story? I mean, probably not as hard, but I don't really see the difference (apart from the obvious story/characters).

No, it's vastly different in gameplay. The only real similarities are the demons/personas and the skills.

I honestly don't like the random gen dungeons in this series it feels lazy to me lowers the appeal of the game world

I hope they make a bigger town with bigger, more interesting and less generic dungeons (they can be randomly generated without looking horribly generic, look at diablo). That's probably the only complaint I really have of the last couple of persona games. Can't wait for a next-gen version.

that would be nice. both the main SMT series and the DDS games had fantastic, absolutely incredible dungeon design. unless you're a huge fan of puzzles (which I'm really ambivalent about) I would say they're among the best in the genre.

oh man, Tower of Kagutsuchi. I spent at least five or six hours in that bitch and I loved every moment of it. and then there's the Amala Labyrinth...
