Time to replace my piece of sht (computer)

Ok, my laptop finally took a shit on me. I'm kinda on a 800-900 budget because I'm on vacation here till next semester (august) and i only have about 1400 total spending money. So my laptop shitting on me kinda took a shit on my summer as well.

My old laptop was a pentium 4 2.8 ghz HP pavillion zd8000 (and i konw if you go on the site now its zd8000x zd8000g9 ect, and there is no zd8000 alone, but at the time I got it it was zd8000 and nothing else) w/ mobility radeon x600 graphics card. 512 ram (which i upgraded to 2 gigs myself)

I was looking at building a desktop, but when I do that, I'm going to want to build a top of the line one and besides, if I wait, I'll be able to buy a cheaper one that is better w/ how fast tech is advancing, so I'll wait on that.

Looking at laptops, I found this little gem
    Newegg.com - MSI EX625-227US NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo P7350(2.00GHz) 16" Wide XGA 4GB Memory DDR2 800 320GB HDD DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 - Laptops / Notebooks

What is your opinion on this laptop? and if not good, could you recommend some laptops that are similarly priced that may be better? I'm lookin to place an order within the next couple of days so I can get back to ffxi asap

Also, do you think this pc will be able to play ff14 well (or at all?). I don't want to have to upgrade again so soon, but need something on budget that will hold me over till I get home, back to work, and build my own desktop

Edit: I like big, widescreen laptops if possible. More about being portible, I don't really care for it to be small. My current is 17" widescreen

I don't know much about this particular laptop but the specs are pretty good for the price. Might want to read customer reviews on it and see what you can come up with.

As for whether it will run FFXIV... Its hard to judge without knowing that game's specs but I'm gonna say you can probably run the game with low to mid settings.

Another decent laptop I found in your price range: Newegg.com - Acer Aspire AS8930-6442 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T6400(2.00GHz) 18.4" Wide XGA+ 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT - Laptops / Notebooks

Either way not bad.. both have good mobile graphics processors so you're probably not gonna be hurting too much playing games. The CPU in the MSI model is an older model Core 2, but consumes less power than the one in the Acer model which means longer battery life.
