Working with a student on writing, and we're currently working on personal narratives. The kid is going into 7th grade, and he's full Japanese. He doesn't speak English too well, so I know he doesn't understand a lot of things sometimes.
Anyway he had a worksheet where he had to complete a sentence. ie. "The most exciting place I ever met was"
One sentence said "The most unusual person I ever met was" and he finished with "Pedo Bear" with a small drawing of pedo bear's face...
When I commented on it like "that's not a person!" He responded "well I don't know, he's on youtube, and I think he looks unusual".
I debated on whether to explain it to him so he doesn't talk about it to his teachers or anything...but I figured best to just leave it at that.
laughing in my head pretty hard atm though.
