Off the top, the power supply looks a bit overpowered for the rest of the machine..

As for the rest, what are you using the computer for? What size monitor will you be using/buying for this setup?

I have two 24" Acer 1080p monitors... I will be using this system for gaming, I don't play very many games on pc, I normally use my ps3 for gaming...I also would use it to watch movies...I do a lot of video editing as well. The power supply is that big for whatever I may add in the future. I also have a blue dray burner in my old system I will be transfering. I run a 1T hdd for movies/music, and a 600 GB hdd for system files/junk that I keep on the system. I also do a lot of recording piano/guitar (still currently looking for a good sound card / mixer for the system).... I eventually will be adding another 4850 card to it. I really enjoyed the reviews and benchmarks on that card and its a reasonable price...

Ah there we are then.. in that case I'd say you're probably right on for what you need. Only things I'd probably do is switch the 800 speed memory for 1066... and I'd get a 4890 personally, nothing wrong with a 4850 it'll handle your monitors just fine just a matter of having the newer tech & faster speed memory on the card.

Nice case pick too.. the HAF has really grown on me.

If you're going to be going with a 1GB video card and 4GB of memory, you should probably go with a 64-bit OS as well. Reason being, and someone correct me if I'm wrong on this, but with a 32-bit OS, the video memory is included in the maximum amount usable by the OS, meaning that you'll be utilizing < 3GB of system memory.

Sorry forgot to mention that I am currently running Vistax64.... I have 4gb of that memory already and am going to be upgrading to 8...(hence why I threw in 4gb of memory). I was thinking about the 1066 memory but I would have to be upgrading all 8 instead of just adding 4 more. I was looking at the 4890 but at the same point I'm still unaware if I want to spend that much. The main reason I am upgrading almost the entire pc is my old asus board is crapping out. The cpu is a core2duo and I want the benefit of a quad. The video cards are outdated as well. 4890's are pretty pricey if I recall....

Also ty Olo I really love that case as well. I built my parent's a new computer and my dad found the case on line and liked the look of it (he doesn't know anything about computers but he knew he liked that case LOL). So I purchased mediocre stuff for them and got the case he wanted. The case is amazing. I love the airflow you get with it and its pretty solid.
