Windows Re-install

Afternoon guys.

I am about to uninstall Windows 7 and install XP back, i have my own reasons for it :D

Anyway, im hoping to make the transition from 7 to XP, without breaking my FFXI install. Anyway, i have a 500GB External HDD on my floor that im going to copy the files to. Shouldnt take too long. I remember seeing some kind of regfix or tool that enabled the re-copy and paste a whole lot simpler.

Anyone care to point me in the right direction please?

Also, quick one, im going to install x64bit XP, will there be any issues with FFXI or any other programs? Only reason i am doing that is because i have 4GB Ram in my Laptop, was hoping to get full use of it.

I havent worked with windows7, but I assume the file structure is similar to vista64? Like did you need to install the vista POL also? If so, I'm not sure how easily it'll be for you to just copy files.

You might have issues with going to 64bit xp, just depends on the program and hardware, if it's supported. I ran across some old programs I tried using, but wouldn't install, and an old wireless card that wasn't supported by 64bit
