We used a NIN in total evasion gear and 2x mambo to aggro + supertank all the mammets, pulling them off one at a time. If you have a BST or SMN, and they release an avatar, all the mammets will mysteriously get super-angry at them and zerg them down. If it happens to you, it will be funny...later.

We had a RNG for this, so we tried having them use Spartan Bullets for TP and other_bullet for WS. Not sure how much that helped; it was a while ago. I hear bringing a BLU for Head Butt spam is great.

The wiki has some pretty good tips, really.

I used 5 Black Mages and a leech.

Fight #1 : Blizzaga II, Bind, and Flare.
    Fight #2 & 3 : Flare, Reraise, Repeat.

It was totally worth the loss of experience points. Not sure if they patched these battles to make them regenerate if left unattended now though.

I am going to be doing the fight too tonight.

    We have..
    NIN
    BRD
    BLU
    WHM
    SAM [or smn]
SAM [or nin / pld / war]

I don't have a clue what so ever to do as a samurai in the fight other than use Yuki when I can. would it be best if we got our NIN bat earrings and blinding potion for the +30~ evasion? I read the wiki and talked with a few people who have done some ways on the wiki but they said it didn't work. Either they suck or just didn't work.

Are we talking about One to be Feared or The Warrior's Path?

The Warrior's Path was dirt easy with 2 Samurai/Thief continuously skillchaining onto 2 blink tanks and a Black Mage magic bursting.

I am talking about mammets >> omega >> ultima.

With Tenzen, we got a drk with mkris who is going to help zerg him down and I get to go taru samurai on his ass >.> I am still curious why we are fighting Tenzen, figured he was a good guy.

    BLU
    RDM
    BRD

Only wiped once because I had to open a toolbag Q_Q, but killed it with five minutes left.

Going in with the right PT setup makes the fight easier. You want to be able to zerg the mobs down; 25% on omega and 20% on Ultima. War, mnk, sam, rng, blu...all good zerg jobs. Try to avoid Thf, Pup, etc, unless you're looking for a challenge. Whm and Bard are the ideal support jobs for erase + finale and buffs. Pld and Nin both work, but nin needs Whm more for Erase. Use CCB Polymers, hi-pots and yag drinks for mages, I-wings for melees...reraise is a must for everyone. Use CCBs and Two Hours/I-wings at 25% on omega, 20% on Ultima. Try to balance out resources between ultima and omega; don't blow it all on just Omega.

Don't fight where ultima and omega spawn! They open with TP moves... have the tank agro from a corner by themselves, then have the melees run over.

NIN DD RDM WHM BRD + anything, preferably COR BRD or SMN but doesn't rly matter
limitting tp = win.. bring a ccb for the end of each fight since antimatter and pile pitch suck
shouldn't need to wipe or have any deaths, the thing went over earlier for mammets works great.. take note that a drg's high jump and super jump(and presumably accomplice/collaborator) have the same result of scrambling mammets as release though

I respectfully disagree. Too support heavy, not enough damage. Swap out the rdm for a DD. While i'll grant you that there is such a thing as too much Melee on it, and you don't want to feed it too much TP, but there's such a thing as too little.

This setup wins the entire fight in 25-35 minutes depending on if the last job is an additional defensive mage or COR/melee(25 with COR BRD or melee, 35 with another defensive mage). The time limit is 45, which makes too little DD pretty irrelevant unless you're arguing that you don't want to waste 10 minutes of your time for more safety in the run. I'd rather spend the extra 10 minutes and win the first time, but maybe that's just me.

NIN WHM RDM BLU BLU SAM is how i did it when i did it. The Two BLU basically spam headbutt, while everyone else does what they are expected to do.

almost exactly how i did it, except swap the war for rng. we almost won on our first run with 5, can't remember the setup exactly but it was similar, think we might have been missing brd. we managed to get down to 5% remaining on the last phase with 2 CCB's, plenty of time left but due to poor positioning on wipe, we couldn't recover.

I remember getting recruited to help on this fight and we had the unusual setup of 4x NIN RDM WHM I think. Basically everyone shared hate with elemental wheel spam as the source of damage. Was pretty fun and I don't think we used any items outside of reraise. Probably because we were cheap. I think the only casualty was the WHM at the end of the Ultima part from getting caught in an AoE or something.
