I wish they'd just let me know what my thrust and slash levels were so I knew how far away I was from my skills that they taunt me with.

Oh hey you leveled up and can use this skill now, oh wait, no you can't, your thrust and slash aren't high enough. Oh wait, maybe you can, but you haven't used some other skill 682 times yet to unlock it.

Well, you can 'kinda' see your slash and thrust levels on the status screen...

Yeah sorta, if by kinda you mean a rough gage of level 1 or greater than level 1. Other than that it's gross approximation, which can be terribly off.

And 60 uses is usually enough, that's my rule of thumb.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a good system they have in place... it's just that after playing the game a billion times it actually somehow works.

Oh sweet only level 16 thrust is needed? Hot damn, I just unlocked something else that needed at least 16 slash and my thrust is only a bit smaller than my slash bar, it must be soon! 5 levels later nada (with other skills used enough times).

I've been taking them to 100 just for safe measure. Once I get my newest skill to 100 I just use thrust and slash over and over and over again because they're ridiculously underleveled or something.

Actually, I just got megaton thrust or whatever, pr'sure that one is thrust.
