Crystal Defenders - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I got this yesterday for PS3 via DLC. Anyone else played it yet? It's very similar to the flash game called Bloons Tower Defence, which I loved (but was free...).

It's a great little strategy game, but I'd be curious how others feel it plays out, since it is a Square Enix title and uses jobs from the Final Fantasy realm (as well as mobs)...

I got this off the JP store a few months back, which was surprisingly in full English.

It is a fun game, I just wish there was more... Each installment is supposed to get progressively harder, but I think W2 & W3 were alot easier than W1 (They are both a challenge still) simply because of the addition of the crystals that can increase attack, attack speed and range.

W1 pretty much demanded perfection and there were a limited number of strategies you could use to complete the maps. A lot more options available to you in W2 & W3. Still working on my 100k trophy! x_x

If I am reading the wiki right the WiiWare versions are scaled down versions of the PS3/360 ones?

I believe the 360/PS3 version have W1, W2 and W3 all together in a single game, whereas the Wii version sells them ala carte.

I downloaded this when it first came out for 360, it's one of my favorite tower defense games.

oh maybe, I thought it was released for 360 and PS3 concurrently but it may not have come out yet on PSN

Was released on JP PSN a few months back and just last Thursday on EU PSN.

Maybe out this week in the US? Either way it's in full English on JP / UK PSN, so just grab a PSN card online if you want it now. =)

Bought JPN PSN card on ebay and had code emailed to me. Signed up for JP PSN account and dl'd this. FUN FUN! :O

Fast moving Lamia...

I don't lose a single crystal all the way up until wave 27 (I think it's 27) when the Lamia come along and 2~3 get through.

I'm enjoying it. Good Samaritan trophy was a nightmare to get, finishing up on the rest now. Pretty tough game, a big step up in difficulty over Comet Crash.
