    External Monitor / Hardrive?

Heya guys, was just wondering if anyone can recommened any external monitors or hardrives? Im looking for anything above 22" monitor, and anything over 350 GB for the hardrive.

Willing to spend around £250-300 on the monitor, and £100 for the hardrive.

    Links would be seriously appreciated.

I was debating about buying a TV and hooking it up, seeing as i can get a 32" TV for the price of a 24" monitor. However, i was told that a TV res is alot weaker than a monitor. Does anyone have any idea if thats true or not?

If it can do 1080p at 60Hz, it's probably good enough to use as a monitor in most cases.

TV as a monitor can sometimes work out, but they're not quite perfect. You'll likely get quite blurred images from up close because the monitors aren't designed to be that viewable from up close. I'd go for a PC monitor which can be used as a TV instead.

External hard drives are easier to find, £100 will net you a 1.5-2TB USB drive, or a 1TB Firewire/eSATA. Check ebuyer.com, overclockers.co.uk, amazon.co.uk, scan.co.uk, microdirect.com etc. for whatever deals they have going on. I'd say stick to Western Digital or Seagate drives, they seem to have some of the better deals going.

There is no shortage of quality stuff you can get for your money. I'd read a few tech review sites, buy a magazine or two since they do really comprehensive reviews of stuff, and most importantly: shop around! :D
