Dance, Electronica, and House Fans - heres a free download from me.

    European-Style House Dance Mix.

This is the CD I sold a month or so ago. Up for free download.

I ask in return that you offer up a fair rating on the page. It's on the DJ Charts that pits one DJ's mix vs. another (in many genres). I apologize for those who paid for the CD now that I'm offering it up for free - but know this. You are near and dear to my heart and I will never forget your dedication to an independant artist. This is only up for free download in hopes of votes and a rise to the top of the house charts. Remember the autograph I mailed you guys on the poster? What did it say? "A quest for fame....under the influence of sedatives and cold champagne". A quest for fame.

    For those downloading/listning,

You wont find the most technical mixing or beat swapping (though you will find quite a bit) - that isn't the focus of this mix. It's about programming (song selection) and an overal journey I'm trying to take you on.

Rate fairly. I didn't ask for a perfect score, and to be fair, please dont vote negativly due to a personal dislike of me. Rate the MUSIC how you hear it.

And most of all, I hope you enjoy the mix. I hope the music takes you on a ride.

    Cheers.

    Bites and scratches,
    xoxo,
    DJ Wil

Thank you for the votes, "guests". I hope you enjoy the download. I appreciate you listening more than the vote, but I also appreciate that deeply.

Much love, and again, enjoy the music.

Thank you Azkarin. It's a little different than the American dance scene, because I dont spin the typical top 40. Lady gaga, pitbull, and for good measure a horrible remix of a good song like Insomnia - repeat. That's what I hear from our local jockeys.

I try to use more of London's dance (which is similiar, in my opinion of course, to a disco feel) in my mixes and routines. It works well for me. And that's what this mix is composed of. Alot of my own renditions of the Ministry of Sound (London club) and other goodies. I did use some East Coast tracks in it though, because I'm a fan of Louie Devito and the rest of the NYC bad boy DJ crew. As long as it's original.

    More mixes to come.

As far as my signature I'll say this. Nothing I do or post is an accident. The rest? I plead the fifth <3

I'll check my user settings. Stand by.

Edit: Little teeny tiny check box I missed. It should work fine now. I tested it and downloads are authorized.

You guys have taken me from #2301 to #605 in the house charts in less than 10 minutes.

There are no words to express my gratitude. I thank you from the deepest part of my heart.

Downloads work fine now (I apologize for the glitch). Enjoy the ride xoxo.

You guys put a big smile on my face.

I work enough bars and clubs (this mix in particular was recorded live at the Pennant, for those of you in Philly/south jersey....you know how shitty and difficult that place can be. It was on "White Trash Wensday" -- 5 cent beers.) and I get alot of shitty responses from people that have had too much to drink. Look at my myspace, theres a video called "12 things NEVER to say to the DJ". It's so true, and it's daily.

I mean it with all of my heart. Thank you for listening. Fuck the votes, thanks for taking the time to listen. I hope you keep enjoying the music. There is more coming.

    And nope, never met deadmau5.

The only person from the BG forums I've ever met was an old BlueGarter LS member named Buruberi (Jackie) that I took out to south Street Philly and got her fucking b.o.m.b.e.d. on 99 Octanes at Fat Tuesdays. She cried about a certain still member of BG all night at the bar.

Hey man nice work. Technically your mixing is spot on, it's too bad you're not heavy into what London really listens to, your technical skills would fit right in. I'd suggest listening to sets by guys like Nic Faniculli or Johnny D to get an idea of some solid London / Berlin house and tech-house.

All of those tracks are years old, some at classic status some not quite. You hear any of those tunes at a night out in Vegas or strip clubs in the west coast. Not trying to bag you just providing some ( hopefully ) constructive criticism. The reason I point this out is because if there is a voter base that's anywhere near knowledgeable they'll get a good laugh out of it being called London mix.

Again technically you were spot on, you've obviously been doing this awhile. I'd love to throw some mp3's of what I play for my afterhours here in Denver at you to see what you do with it. PM me if you'd like that.

Best of luck with the comp.

Mixing spot on? You serious? 3:45 and 11:06 was awful. Sorry man but this sucks... Fedde Le Grand shouldn't be played at that speed, odd set of tunes to mix, too much flange effect throughout. Listen to some other dance djs.

I'll upload a techno/house set my friend made not long ago maybe give you a better idea. I'm not being a dick so I never rated you down, just an avid fan of electronic music.

Ya you're right lol. 3:45 wasn't so bad as he was playing with the flanger and it slipped before the drop. There are some other spots that fall apart as it seems like he's playing with a Beatmasher or Delay effect maybe? ( I use Traktor Scratch ).

That's the territory you play with in a quickcuts mix, 16 minutes for 9 songs just trying to get the chorus in an out again you're going to have those mistakes, especially with that range of BPM with tracks from '93 - '08.

Raiko, who are some guys you listen to?

    @ The Finesse

To be honest mate, every time I go out clubbing, I hear something new I like. In Glasgow tomorrow night, I'm spoiled for choice, Richie Hawtin and Marcel Dettmann playing

Edit: Here's my mates tech-house set, good for after hour parties

    I fucking hate you lol...

A good friend of mine is the editor of Beatportal, he's in Berlin for the summer and gets to see the likes of Richie, Loco Dice, Ricardo Villilobos all the time at like 12 hour parties on a Tuesday. Fucking wank >:O

Should be good fun though last time Richie was out here he absolutely killed it!
