So, earlier this morning I found that my Ipod had water dripping on. I wiped it off and for about 3 hours it worked fine. Now it won't even turn, load onto any computer or anything. Halp.

Take it to the Apple store champ, nothing anyone here can do for you unless you wanna open it up. It probably shorted out something in there.
Well, if they find water in the innards then it's not covered by your warranty. Hopefully the insides are dry by now.
Water damage is pretty easy to detect honestly. You can give it a shot, but you're probably going to just have to buy a new one.
I'd say try putting it in dry rice to absorb the moisture, but I think that only applies if you haven't tried turning it on after the water got inside. You may be screwed now and as such need to Celphius' advice.
I'll see if there is any hope left tomorrow but re-downloading all my songs is going to make me cry![]()
Sigh, people really don't know how to deal with water damage.
Wiping water off an electronic equipment won't do jackshit. As soon as you spot the water damage, you are supposed to turn it off, remove the battery(for battery equipped devices) and leave it off at a warm place for AT LEAST 24 hours(48 recommended). This is the most important part as most people turn the device on to check "if it is working" and screw it for good. Water and electronics simply don't mix. Turn it on and its game over.
As far as I know, iPods and iPhones are equipped with water sensors. Moment they change color, your warranty is void.
And again, as far as I know Apple has a flat rate for water damages and its quite expensive.
