Transfer of character settings from PC to PC

I want to transfer my account/character settings/macros from my PC to another PC.
this is how i did it:
Went to C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER


And copied my character's folder and pasted it in the other PC's above path. However, its not working now.

Can anyone guide me on how to do this and if im miss something?

I have tried to get around this but ended up reinstalling FFXI all over again complete. My reason was one system was XP and the other was Vista.

You can always save your data on the character screen and load it over after you install I do it all the time. The account will just need to be setup and it should link up fine.

settings, like font colour, keyboard settings, and chat filters? copying macros to server seems to do that for me, going between ps2 > pc > ps2 > pc > ps2, ive had to copy my macros several times...

but what i did was right, my mistake was i copied the wrong folder (i copied my brothers account setting)

just have to drop the folder in the other PC's path.
