    Sharing Media Imaging..

I'm not incredibly computer savvy and have no idea what the chances are of accomplishing what I'm hoping for..

Basically I would like to play a movie I have on my computer through any software that would allow another person to view what I am viewing without having to download the movie file themselves.. Is this feasible and is there a software that provides an option like this on windows XP? I trust the person and don't mind them having access to my PC etc..

    Thanks

You can use something like Ustream which records and streams what's on your screen live, but the quality for viewing a movie would be really low.

Different how-to's for Ustream Ustream.Tv Advanced: How to add Graphics, Video Effects, Screen capture, Television videos, save and Stream YouTube Videos, TV. Software: WebCamMax, CamTwist

I think the best option would be converting the movie to a smaller, more manageable size. I had a small program before that would convert a movie on playback and stream it, when I accessed it from my psp wirelessly. It'd convert it to youtube quality basically though.

There's programs where you can share controls on a pc and see the same things, but I don't think it's meant for video playback and not sure on the fps that'd be allowed

Right, go for ustream if you don't mind poor quality. The sharing controls on computer runs at something like .5-1FPS while a movie is running.

When I control a computer that is playing a movie I get an updated image about every 3 seconds unfortunately.
