    Inheritted computer

hey guys, I just inherited a computer from a friend joining the army. The computer runs an NForce 780i SLI with a Core 2 Duo E6550 and 2 gigs of ram. He gave away the video card to his bro. As far as I know, everything is in working condition and it just needs a video card to get up off the ground. Can I have some recommendations as far as video cards go? This comp will be replacing the super nintendo I'm currently running and I'll prolly only use it to play XI. Thanks so much.

Looks like the psu is a Corsair vx 550w.

Will a EVGA 512-P3-N971-TR GeForce 9800 GT card work all right? I couldn't find an nvidia 9800gt on newegg, but when I googled it, that was one of the cards that came up. Sorry for not posting a link, but... post count.

Edit: It would also be running two HDDs, one 500GB and one 100GB and a DVD rom.

The EVGA 9800 GT is a Nvidia card. Nvidia is the chipset.

    Also: Corsair PSU ftw. :]

That PSU should work just fine for this machine with a 9800GT. I have a similar machine - same power supply, slightly lower wattage CPU & mobo, slightly higher wattage video card, dual HDs and dual DVD drives - and haven't had any power problems at all with more demanding games than FFXI.
