Looking for a budget GPS for Vehicle.

I currently have another vehicle that I drive and want to get a budget GPS for it. Looking to spend under $350. My fiancee has a TomTom but was debating if there was something better for a little more. Recommendations are greatly accepted.

    Thanks,

    Electro

I got my wife the Garmin Nuvi 105. It was only $125ish last year before Christmas so I imagine its even cheaper now. The thing is amazing, we have never had a problem with it. We even took it to Europe on vacation with us to use for driving in Italy, and as a handheld the rest of the trip. Had to buy a micro sd card with Europe maps on it for that. You could go bigger and better but when I go to get a new gps it will be a garmin for sure.

I've got the bottom model TomTom and it generally does the job OK - and I do tend to give it a fair bit of use finding obscure schools on a daily basis! I've heard they're not the greatest for mapping though and it does struggle with one local city centre (thankfully the one I know well enough to work around it), it's obsessed with trying to send me down the motorway when there's no fricken need to be on the M1, and it did try to send me down a one-way street the wrong way the other day (but I think that was a recent road layout change more than it wanting me to get done by the coppers).

Heard good things about the Garmins though - I just bought what was cheap at the time when I got sick of trying to find schools at 8.50 in the morning with an A-Z balanced on my lap.

I have this Garmin, and it's perfect. A $50 upgrade gets you a couple more useful features and will still be well below your budget amount.
