So some bitch I know from HS who is my fb friend posts that she had a car accident. She and her two children were in the car (one of which is apparently a special needs child.) Apparently they hit a tree, going pretty fast... car was totaled, really bad wreck.

Why did she wreck?

SHE WAS TEXTING. WHILE DRIVING. WITH HER KIDS IN THE CAR.

Now, as if that weren't enough, PEOPLE ARE GIVING HER SYMPATHY. Not ONE person has said "hmm, shouldn't be texting while driving." Shit, I'm shocked that child protection services aren't at her door. What the fuckkkkkk! Why are people saying "ohhhh poor you, that's just terrible!" as if they were talking to someone who was hit by a drunk driver or something... SHE WAS FUCKING TEXTING!

Odon, apparently they know, because she told the hospital/ambulance people she was texting, and got a ticket for it. Luckily, she didn't take any cars out but her own... god, people like this make me so mad.

I don't get it, so I'm supposed to feel SORRY for her... and I'm not supposed to be angry that Darwin failed us once again?

she should get a 3 year ban from texting and a 1 year house arrest, same as the drunk driver that nearly killed my gf's cousin (he got a 3 year suspended license and 1 year house arrest)

There's a law in Missouri that makes texting while driving a ticketable offense. Can't remember if it's a stopped violation though, but I'm pretty sure that people can be pulled over if they are caught doing it. I rarely even use my cell phone, so I don't care.
