I'm younger than that now.
I'm younger than that now.
Crimson flames tied through my ears
Rollin' high and mighty traps
Pounced with fire on flaming roads
Using ideas as my maps
"We'll meet on edges, soon," said I
Proud 'neath heated brow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
Half-wracked prejudice leaped forth
"Rip down all hate," I screamed
Lies that life is black and white
Spoke from my skull. I dreamed
Romantic facts of musketeers
Foundationed deep, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
Girls' faces formed the forward path
From phony jealousy
To memorizing politics
Of ancient history
Flung down by corpse evangelists
Unthought of, though, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
A self-ordained professor's tongue
Too serious to fool
Spouted out that liberty
Is just equality in school
"Equality," I spoke the word
As if a wedding vow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
In a soldier's stance, I aimed my hand
At the mongrel dogs who teach
Fearing not that I'd become my enemy
In the instant that I preach
My pathway led by confusion boats
Mutiny from stern to bow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
Yes, my guard stood hard when abstract threats
Too noble to neglect
Deceived me into thinking
I had something to protect
Good and bad, I define these terms
Quite clear, no doubt, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
That does not make any sense.
Oh there you go
Crimson flames tied through my ears
Rollin' high and mighty traps
Pounced with fire on flaming roads
Using ideas as my maps
"We'll meet on edges, soon," said I
Proud 'neath heated brow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,

I just looked up the lyrics to a song I like and now that I know the lyrics instead of understanding just 30% of the words it has lost its magic.
interestingly the lyrics talk about time and stuff that is kinda like the OP. I didn't know that so maybe my brain actually knew the lyrics and that's why i thought of it.
I'm everything you know
You wonder friend of foe
I'm the burning in your throat
When you swallow
But you spit me out
Your stomach full of doubt
And you're faking every word
Out of your mouth
But you won't let go
It's all about control
Understand I'm born to lead
You will follow
I don't wanna stay
And I'm running away
Don't you hear me when I say
Goodbye, so long.
Nice try, I'm gone.
You don't like being second
I don't like being wrong
I won't forget
The way you made me feel
I won't regret
Running away from here
So I say Goodbye again.
So I say Goodbye again.
Now it's there to see
You've forgotten me
Ever since I was the
Prince among the theives
So you hold me down
Strip away my crown
Can't contain me knowing
All the truth I found
Always thinking small
Helping me to fall
Now you're jealousy and hate
Consumes us all
I don't wanna stay
I'm running away
Don't you hear me when I say
Goodbye, so long.
Nice try, I'm gone.
You don't like being second
I don't like being wrong
I won't forget
The way you made me feel
I won't regret
Running away from here
You think you see the world
But you see nothing
You think you see the world
But you see nothing
Time is only gonna make it worse in the end
So I'll say goodbye again
Don't hit me with your fears
I won't fit with your ideas
You missed what I'm about
I earned my way out
And in the end
I'll say goodbye again
I won't forget
The way you made me feel
I won't regret
Running away from here
I won't forget
The way you made me feel
I won't regret
So I say goodbye again.
Humans do have tree rings right, I don't want to start cutting and find out we don't.
they don't call it "humanitree" for nothing
The week after I first saw a bonzai tree was a very confusing week for me. Not knowing how they were made it just seemed impossible and I thought were fakes or some sort of a sinister scam where they sell you tiny trees and you put it in your house and once you put some water on it and it explodes and destroys your house.
