Just a reminder to take some time to love your pets and show some more affection towards them. This goes without saying but a lot of people take the love for their pets for granted and don't realize how fast and unexpected things can happen.
I had this 3 year old orange outdoor/indoor cat named Buddy. He was very vocal and somewhat affectionate to humans. He wasn't scared by anything (including cars) except the vacuum cleaner. He always followed me out to my car when i left in the morning and he was always there waiting for me when i got home. He slept in my bed every night and he wasn't a bed hog, he stayed in his lil corner of the bed. For the most part i never really payed any special attention to him other than greetings and whatnot. He was the type of cat anyone could want and i enjoyed his company. Well this morning i am awakened by the doorbell at 7am to find my neighbor telling me there is something i should know about.
I'm sharing this after burying my 3rd cat in 5 years. I'm not looking for sympathy, i just want people to take the extra time to show/tell their pets how much they mean to them because shit happens and they might not be there when you really need them. so after you read this, go find your pet and show some love. Take that extra 20 min of your life to give them a longer walk. Buy them special treats because they deserve it. Make sure they have clean fresh water to drink. Bathe them and have fun with it, don't rage at them. Buy them a cool toy and ACTUALLY use it to play with them.
oh! Take pictures of your pets!!! i can't stress this enough.
inb4 cool story bro
