Just watched a screening of this last night. It wasn't very good story wise, but there were quite a few intense scenes. If you've got any interest I actually suggest not watching the trailer; it spoils most of the important/surprising points of the movie. The "Real footage" is complete garbage though; fake through and through. It held my suspension of disbelief up until

If you can get past some of the bad acting (any time the Sheriff was present on screen my theater burst out laughing; he's in nothing but serious scenes) and just take it as a thriller, its not too bad. The last scene of the story actually leaves room for some interesting interpretation about what was going on throughout, and gives it a little more depth than I was expecting.

I just saw it, actually wasn't as bad as you made it out to be lol. I will say I liked it, was worth the 6 bucks (coupons, sup). It does make you think though.

The whole connection to the ancients was pretty cool. I've actually thought a lot about the people of the past being more advanced than we make them out to be. Pyramids, to this day we still cannot explain how they were made; we have no method of reproducing them using the tools that were present to civilizations back then. I gotta say I enjoyed pretty much all of the movie, up until the whole levitating above the bed scene. It was kinda stupid, kinda brought me back into the whole bah this is just a crappy movie feeling I went in expecting. Otherwise, decent movie.

Pretty much why they announce before the movie starts to "believe what you want" since they use actual footage. I'm sure most others will dismiss it as fake. But yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night.

It did start out pretty slow though, and I agree some of the acting was a bit shitty. (that cop got on my nerves) It really does make you look at alien abduction from a different view though. I recommend this film though if you're in to aliens/UFOs/abduction, and the like.

I would say though that the real footage is the best part of the movie. The whole audio tape of Abi's abduction, the levitating guy, and that goddamn UFO flying over their house gave me chills...can only imagine what that cop saw. Abi's footage was pretty freaky too..her expression on her face when it was over...ugh..

Well fuck. I actually started doing some research before I read your response and saw that, sadly I actually did some research on Sumerians beforehand.

Just aggravates me that Hollywood will go that far..why not just market it like Paranormal Activity? People know it's fake, and it still did great..well..it had better acting though.

This is actually the second time I've been let down by something fake by this movie. That whole thread in general about "Obama revealing the existence of aliens" was pretty exciting, then I found out it was viral marketing for this movie...
