My ps3 is a giant paperweight atm

Everyone seems to be having similar problems. Tried to sign into mag, kicked me off the network and changed my date all wacky, then whenever I try to play any games its giving me an error code, seems to be partially due to something wrong with the trophy problems. Anyone else having this problem?

Yep, kicked off Heavy Rain. Just give it time I guess. I pretty much shit myself and thought something happened to my PS3. Weird, this is the first time something like this has happened in the 3 years I've owned it

I love how PSN has one glitch and all the people that "just converted" to ps3 are whining and complaining and claiming they will switch back to xbox because of this.

I mean really, so a system crashed, those of you that have ever had experience coding something like this know its almost impossible to have everything perfect. My guess is that a trophy updater program is conflicting with the older model PS3s firmware somewhere. Its not a huge deal will just take a few hours to iron out if anyone is actually manning the booth at sony today. So everyone needs to take a chill pill lol.

My cousin just called me bout 10 min ago complaining. I told him I had no idea then I saw this thread. He's getting the same error code. One thing to note is, he doesn't sign into PSN on his PS3 unless he's at my place. So wonder what's going on to cause this to happen to a PS3 that hasn't been online in a couple weeks.

It's not an online thing, it can't be. My cousin hasn't been on PSN on his PS3 in a few weeks. He doesn't have the internet at his place (long story). Yet he gets the error code and his trophies are all fucked and he can't play.

Either of mine wont let me into PSN or boot up a game. It's not secluded to PSN.

It's not an online thing. There are only two real possibilities that I can see it being. 1.) my previous suggestion of a new line or two of code in the trophy acquisition software thats fucking with the firmware of the fat ps3s or 2.) Its a leap year problem (someone fucked up coding their calendar program lol).
