    GPU question

Currently running 3 GTX 260's in tri sli and pretty much every driver Ive tried has had some problem either jerky game play or shit FPS or a combination of the 2

so am wondering if its possible to pull out 1 of my 260's and put in an old BFG 7950 i have laying around and have it run off a seprit driver and have only FFXI run off it?And have the remaining 260's run everything else?

if that's not possible can anyone recommend a good 200 series driver? The old 169.17 i think was the old FFXI specific driver and it dosent work with the 200 series

Are you trying to run FFXI in SLI?

I have 2x GTX 275 in SLI and FFXI does *NOT* like it. I found characters do artifact badly and refresh rates to be HORRID.

I had to disable SLI and run FFXI on just 1x GTX 275. Also, with using the one card I am not sure which drivers I am on (I'm not @ home currently) but I know it's a much newer version than 169.XX - Somewhere in the 190's, for sure.

-Edit- Go EVGA! I need to start back folding since the points reset >.>

Odd... I really don't know then >.> I am fairly sure I am running 196 version drivers also..

I will look when I get home and see but I know the game as a whole just does not deal well w/ large amounts of ppl/things needing to be rendered on the screen @ the same time.

My PC should be able to run XI capped FPS 24/7, but it doesn't. So, yeah..

I have a question unrelated... does the power of the GPU help at all with how smooth a webcam will record?

You could try looking at modded drivers, which can vary from computer to computer but for some can provide very nice gains over the standard drivers. I used Extreme-G Drivers from http://www.tweakforce.com/ on my old laptop for a long time, but you can hunt around with google and find all sorts of modded drivers out there.
