My friend recently got a Mac for uni, against my advice as i despise macs. Shes looking for a good alternative to AutoCAD for furniture design and im totally lost for ideas.

You could try one of these but I think her best bet is installing bootcamp or Parallels and running AutoCAD on Windows.
I was considering Parallels but shes a complete technophobe, so it would be all down to me really and im kinda unsure how much effort would be involved to teach her how to run it.
Il try out Alias with her, if that doesnt work out il go down the Parallels route. Ty
If his school is using AutoCAD you are probably better off with sticking to it. Boot camp is all about holding a button down when booting your computer up, nothing complicated.
