Saving youtube vids

I've been unable since they changed their format. How do you go about doing it now?

I use the "Easy YouTube Video Downloader" Firefox Add-on. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10137

How do you use it? The instructions on the site are for the old format of youtube. The spot where I'm supposed to click no longer exists.

I actually just downloaded it, restarted Firefox, and downloaded a random video with it. The buttons are located just as pictured on that page for me, right below the URL and Embed links.

[Edit] Just wondering, is this new format that you're mentioning a beta or something of their site? I don't keep up with what's going on that site, and it still looks exactly the same as it did for the past few months for me. :/

Looks like that to me. No button for downloading. I used to have youtube ultimate and could save w/ that, but it's not supported by this new version

I use Download Helper addon for firefox, lets me download any kind of embedded audio or video on any website.

I'm not sure how yours looks different, or how it got that way. I've never done anything to change mine to that format. It's still the same as it's ever been for me.

Opt out of the HTML5 beta here if you've opted in:

Then try to download.

I'm using firefox. I don't think that's what I have. It still prompts me to join on that page. I really hate this new layout btw, any clues on how to get back to the old one would be great.

From what I've been able to gather, it's youtube beta and there's no way to revert back. Soon enough they'll force everyone over to it. I'll warn you now, it's fucking horrible.

That works w/ youtube beta? I already had greasemonkey youtube mods and they all borked when i got fucked over to beta

Flashblock and noscript can sometimes cause issues yeah, usually if I temp bypass it I can get the download link just fine.
