How Do I Write A Definition Of A Definition?

I had a lot more written, but I don't want you to know the extent of my retardation so I deleted it.

I have a list of concepts and their definitions, I'm supposed to explain their meanings but I can't really figure out how to take it any further than the definition already did.

The instructions also say "Do not switch from using one word to using another when you mean the same thing by both words" so I can't just restate it and explain it by using words that mean the same thing ;_;
