Any Expected Price Drop for Laptop Hardware Soon?

See title. Wondering how long its worth holding out before picking up a new laptop.

As soon as you buy a laptop, it's outdated. It's really impossible to stay ahead of the curve.

But with the i-series processors taking over, you should see the last-generation line of dual/quad laptops drop in price soon if not already.

Nah I know that but I want to capitalize on price drops to make upgrading later less painful. Wondering if something else big is gonna hit the market soon or if there will be a price drop in anticipation of a big upcoming release.

I tried going top of the line laptop once, not worth it. Ran it too hard, hardware degraded, eventually got too painful to use and sucked seeing really basic 500-600 range laptops that would do better.

Actually laptops are probably gonna stay pat for a while until the whole reader/netbook/ipad thing sorts itself out.

I think I'm going to wait for the new i Cores on the m11x and go with that.
