Regarding the Next Version Update

The next FINAL FANTASY XI version update will take place in two occasions.

First version update [Jun. 10]

Preparatory version update

*This version update is not accompanied by a server maintenance and change will not take place in game

Second version update [Jun. 21] (*This initially said June 22, it has since been changed on the PlayOnline website.)

Version update accompanied by a server maintenance

*Any details regarding the server maintenance or the version update will be announced at a later time
*FINAL FANTASY XI's Topics announcement stated that the next version update will take place mid-June, but that has been changed to Jun. 22

The Vision of Abyssea now available to purchase through pre-sale will become available after the Jun. 22 version update. On the day of the version update, it may take awhile to be able to play the Vision of Abyssea contents due to heavy congestion. It is highly recommended to purchase Vision of Abyssea prior to the version update if you are considering to purchase the content.

11:01 AM EST Monday, June 21st would be 12:01 AM JP Tuesday, June 22nd. So would guess the update is going to start around then. Hence the conflicting dates between the NA trailer and the update notes on playonline.

That is how it has been in the past when they have done these pre-update. Going from memory all the synergy armor (stuff with spikes and stuff) was in a previous pre-update.

Well I'd be happy with just models for AF3 if those are added in this update.
For stats there are so many new abilities those pieces could enhance that I'm sure they'll make something good.

Also I called Rhongomiant and Gandiva back in 2008 when I was trying to guess what the Mythic weapons would be called. I got it wrong, obviously, but sorta got it right too. Sweet.

Are not, and we know at least "Iron Giant" hasn't been revealed yet either. theres a few new mobs being introduced, shame on no new zones but its to be expected tbh >.<;

Just for a heads up but the text was updated to say June 21st for the version update and not the 22nd.

I don't think the zones will be reskinned either. To be honest the thought of having to download the dat of an entire zone is a little...disconcerting to say the least >.<

Thus, I think it will just use the same model of the area with some effects and stuff added to make it feel different.
