"Real" "chupacabra" "discovered"? (probably not)

Did a search and nothing came up. Backstory is animal control and a homeowner in Hood County, Texas killed 2 of these things within a relatively close window of time. Doing DNA testing now supposedly (they look like dogs imo).

myths usually came from day to day things like sea creatures and all that. probably would have been what they would call a chupacabra but in the story telling it got exaggerated. Probably just a skin disease wild dogs can catch in the desert or something.

They've been doing DNA on these types of "dogs" for a about 2 years now, it seems to be a new family if anything. As far as "Chupacabara" goes, some reports of it being bipedal, having red eyes and big fangs. If I recall correctly they labeled the first one (a few years back) as a mangy Coyote, but there have been a few of them killed an caught on tape over the years.

If anything it seems to be a case of people trying to put labels on something they dont know nothing about. This is an old topic and certainly not a ground breaking video by any stretch of the imagination, but the DNA testing is intriguing.

I like how they are playing the video off as something new or innovative. It's the same animal they have been showing since like 2005 or something, just a different Texas resident in it. Nat Geo did a program on these dogs about 2 years ago? They even took flesh samples of the freshly killed animal's tongue and sent it off to be tested. I dont remember the results (im sure Nat Geo has it somewhere) but there were coyote dna in the sample somewhere.

Nothing to get too excited over, just the same rehashing and throwing stuff against the wall and seeing what sticks.

It's a fucking Xoloitzcuintl that's been sunburned and has bug bites all over the place.

They're from Mexico originally, while it's possible some may be running around wild, it's far more likely they were dumped by lazy owners, or escaped from someones yard.

Wtf @ the stupid assholes shooting them, "it acted kinda like a dog", that's because it is a dog you stupid shitbag. "Will DNA testing confirm that it's the Chupacabra?", gee, I dunno, lemme see if we have DNA on record to test it against... pretty sure we got some of that laying around here somewhere.
