    UAV shot down by anti-aircraft energy laser

    US firm Raytheon has unveiled its anti-aircraft laser at the Farnborough Airshow in Hampshire.

    The Laser Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) can either be used on its own or alongside a gunnery system.


    Closer and closer to my hand held laser gun.

    They had this on Future Weapons on History or Military a while ago. I think it was non lethal weapons (one was sound, another was lasers and so on).

    Fucking awesome though.

    Hopefully lasers can actually hit their targets without going through 20,000 rounds like a phalanx system.
