    Found this on lifehacker thought people would be interested
    Upgrade moto droid to froyo now w/o rooting


    edit: i got error DLing flash from market, but there is a link in the 1st comment about how/where to get it

    That is now an out of date build tho that is the real one, so I guess if you are scared to root for whatever reason it is safe.
