Why don't you just run the patch torrents in a real torrent client instead of using the game updater?

You telling me I can use a BitTorrent client like Bitcomet or Utorrent to download the updates? If so, please explain how.

Also, I feel it's generally a good idea to have a direct download source as well. Torrents are fun and all, but very unsecured, and some people like to be assholes and attach malware to them

Oh so I simply use the updater to tag a particular file and then close updater and finish the download in a torrent client?

If that's the case thx much. I still stand by my statement of keeping a direct download source.

Aye. Put the file into the patch folder, which is next to the metainfo folder.
