Jeuno Reborn?

Since the release of the VNM system, the majority of the end-game content SE has released has been based in Jeuno. VNM, Trial of the Magians, Abyssea.

Since Abyssea was released people don't even merit in Aht Urghan much at all any more. All it really is is a base of operations for Salvage/Assault/ZNM's, and a place to EXP low level jobs and watch for shouts.

I noticed lately the only time I go to Jeuno was to either look for shouts, or just to pass through on my way to Jeuno. I've noticed I spend more time in Jeuno lately than any other town.

A few days ago I set my home point in Port Jeuno at the Mog House. And since I did that it seems a lot more efficient than Aht Urghan or Windurst.

I'm just a warp away from a cheap AH, "Upper Jeuno-Mart",Trial of the Magians, Abyssea, and hell I can even Outpost Warp from there pretty well still just by using Horst to teleport to Abyssea-Vunkerl or Abyssea-Misareaux since the outposts for those areas are very close to the Abyssea maws.

In the last few days that I've had my Home Point set to Port Jeuno it seems as though Port Jeuno has a huge increase in activity, so I don't think I'm the only one that feels this way. I'm starting to see some of those random shouts in Port jeuno that you would usually see in Aht Urghan.

People selling stuff, Abyssea shouts, Magian [Day of the Week] shouts, teleports.
Shit, I'm even seeing a lot more people AFK'ing at the AH than I did before this update.

Are we seeing a slow transition of people moving back to Jeuno as their base town?

Sorry if thei is in the wrong area, but I didn't know where else to put it. And I'd really like to know what other people think.

It seems to me that SE felt that Whitegate was becoming too crowded and thus started reinstating Jeuno as the new "hub" of sorts. Funny thing is that even though more people are flooding into Jeuno lately, there still seems to be a decent amount of people than maintain their home points in Whitegate or the home nation from what I've personally observed. It feels more like there's a sort of equilibrium to where people rest their heads these days.

I remember when airship were the creme de la crop for transportation needs. However, lately, and especially since ToAU and Magian Trials were introduced, direct teleporting to an area has become far more commonplace as a transportation method. Personally, I'd like to see either increased airship traffic in Port Jeuno (not bloody likely) or an Outpost Teleporter located in Jeuno (Please for the love of all that is holy, make this happen SE, we will all love you forever~).

WG is still the fastest assuming you do things in Jeuno and nation/OP related stuff. Just costs IS/gil.

The tele to bubu straight up ended any valid debate. There's no reason not to have it in Jeuno now, as you can go from Jeuno > town much faster than you could go from town > Jeuno previously.

Exactly why I changed it, especially after Abyssea killed merit PT's in Aht Urghan, I had no way to keep my Imperial Standing up for all those teleports to Jeuno. I've actually had to buy coins from the damned Silver coin bazzaars perched at the NPC, which got mildly annoying.

Except 99% of things of things done anymore are in abyssea, so port jeuno is fastest. Being able to get to place x, y and z in a faster average time doesn't mean jack shit if it takes 50x longer to get to place x, where you spend almost all of your time.

Also, if you do happen to need to go to Aht Urghan for anything, It's a hell of a lot easier to go from Jueno > Aht Urghan than it is to go from Aht Urghan > Jeuno.

it depends on server culture really..
i'd so move back to Jeuno since everything I do starts from there, but most people on my server are still clinging on to WG.. and still do most of their shouts there, which is the only reason why I go back there anyway.

If more and more shout pt / organizing people start off in Jeuno before Whitegate, then the exodus of Whitegate will be all that much faster...

Yeah, i frequently trade all my gil to the op warp npc, horst, etc

Yeah, that is the one drawback I see to going back to Jeuno. Imagine all those people from Whitegate crammed into Port Jeuno, lol.

Sounds good? Being able to just /ta name and find anyone without having to move anywhere would be amazing compared to trying to navigate your way around wg while looking for someone.
