The student I tutor told me today that her school has Tea Party people come in and talk about what's wrong with the country. She is also required for her civics class to volunteer for the Republican Party on Tuesday and it's worth a huge part of her grade.
I had to sit down with her and show her some Tea Party vids to try and express how idiotic they are. She's a foreign exchange student so I basically told her "every terrible thing you thought about americans is pretty much what this party is made out of."

believe it or not but it is seriously poor form for a teacher to push their political agenda. Now granted some may try to sneak it in but in public school never did a teacher actually force us to only volunteer for one party or mark your grade down for being another party. Her history teacher had them watching videos on how great Whitman is (republican) vs. how horrible and evil Brown is (democrat). And I'm getting more and more understanding that the school expects you to be republican or tea party only.
It's the extreme that they are going to at her school which bothers me, and I'd imagine they are getting funding from these parties.

Private Schools are businesses. Businesses for making money. They're selling the rich conservative viewpoints to the new generation of yuppies. In fact, if you were gonna do anything but homeschool your kids... well I guess you are retarded, cuz your realistic choices are expensive shitty education and free overcrowded education. Funnily enough, both of those problems are eliminated when you do it yourself.

Public education is pretty shitty too, but I've also had some fucking amazing teachers. But then again, I'm from Iowa and we have a badass education system. Don't quote me on it, but I'm pretty sure Iowa's #1 in the nation.

But since you hate yourself so much, it seems like a hypocritical argument to say that people should put their children what you went through so they can turn out like you. In fact, since you seem to hate everyone so much, I'd think you'd love everyone home schooling so no one ever leaves, so you never have to see anyone else (Not that they wanted to see you to begin with, but I digress)
