    Managing SSD

    Hey guys!

Recently I put together a PC and I've been extremely happy with the performance. However, I've been having a difficult time managing programs between the SSD and a 1TB HDD. The SSD itself is 40gigs and originally was going to be for OS, updates, and Firefox or other small apps. Somehow the SSD keeps filling up even though I specifically install everything else to the 2nd HDD. I'm going to assume some temporary files are forcefully made on the c:\ by default. Is there a way to go around this? If not, what is the best way to setup/manage the SSD as an operating system drive only?

Originally I was using this guide as a possible solution. I know 40 gigs will be difficult to work with, but I'm mostly looking for input from other sources.

    Thanks

Too drunk to read all that shit... The link that is...

Long story short is have you made sure your download folder for Firefox isn't the SSD drive? I've been running a RAID0 w/ 2x 80GB Intel SSD's and while I know some temporary files stack up I have yet to see more than 1gb be gone from that array. If you only have 1gb or less to spare on the drive then you aren't getting the maximum performace out of it to begin with as the more data on the drive the slower it operates.
