FFXI Dat Problem

I am have a really weird issue. I just recently got a new computer, reinstalled FFXI and copied my old files from old computer (All sound folders and ROM1 folder only) into the newly installed folders to replace current .dats. I came across this error during campaign, someone summoned shiva and my screen went berserk. So I deleted the current .dat for Shiva,

and I reinstalled that and placed it again in the same folder. Logged back in and summoned shiva and got the same problem.... Dismissed her and screen returned to normal, summoned diabolos and my game crashes or screen glitches. Log back into game and summon Diabolos and he is fine, seems to only trigger after I summon Shiva.

At a loss as to what option I should take to get this .dat to work. It worked perfectly on my old PC. Any suggestions other than doing a file check would be appreciated, I know this would fix the problem 100% but it also deletes all my other dats so I would rather avoid it at all costs. I also tried to go onto FFXIdats website to ask this question but it seems they have a retarded system for password recovery and it isn't working....

Run the file check from the POL menu (before you login), make sure you pick FFXI as what you want tested. This is going to swap all dats back to original. See if the original dat works before you go replacing them.

Yeah I have the original .dat backed up. I put that in and it works fine but I really wanna get this .dat mod to work... It worked perfectly on my old PC so what gives?

Just tried it, and I seem to have the same error. I didn't try Diabolos after Shiva, but I had the same graphical error you described with Shiva.

Windows 7 also.

Ya was posting on FFXI dats, my other friend tried it as well and had the same error. He is also on Windows 7. Guess its a windows 7 thing :/

Sorry for the necro bump, but I still have this issue. Was trying to see if anything changed so I downloaded a new copy of the FFX shiva .dat and I am having the same issue... we have a few other versions of Shiva on the site now, if you want to try another in an effort to resolve the issue.

Yeah theres no problem with original shiva or any the other .dat mods, its just this one... I dunno what is up with it but it seems to effect windows 7 or something. I'm not sure but I really want this .dat :/

why dont you post about your issue in the thread for the dat? or in a modding community forum? I dont see many people on this forum who are into dat modding that would know what could be wrong with that dat.
