my modem powers up just fine, all lights go solid green, my computer is connected via the internet, I can ping websites through command prompt, the statitcs site says I'm running at my normal speed however when I attempt to browse the web it only uses 0.02kb down/up when attempted it do anything via the web.

I have restarted my modem, and reconfigured it, but when it attempts to setup through the wizard thingy built into the browser, it recognizes my PPP service, and everything but when it trys to configure to the server it times out and my internet connection is disconnected saying there is an error unable to connect.

when I go into statistics to view what is connected and what is having a problem it is saying that there is a DNS error and cannot connect to the service, I've called my ISP and they said there is nothing wrong on my end, they connected me through some service charged me 100$ and they cant fix my problem, I know its not a virus causing the problem because its effecting my home console systems that connect wireless to the internet as well, and they all say its a DNS error as well..

I don't know how to resolve these kinds of issues, and am curious if anyone is able to give some information about this, currently posting from another location so anything said will be delayed and I wont beable to make quick responces back to tell if said solutions had resolved my problem.
