Reminds me of when I ride the MetroNorth and people don't shut the car doors. Then there's like fucking ateast 50 people on that side of the car and not one will get up to shut the fucking door because it's loud as fuck and makes concentrating on anything needlessly difficult. Then I gotta be that guy that everyone watches from the other side of the car get up and close the door and not one person says thank you for being the one person who can be bothered to get up off his ass and deal with it.

Shit's fucking loud, don't pretend to ignore it. You know you can't!

Shake Shack is a restaurant chain serving hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, milkshakes and similar foods. There are currently seven restaurants within the chain, five in New York City.

The first Shake Shack located in Madison Square Park opened in July of 2004. The restaurant was conceived and developed by Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group, which maintains a variety of restaurants in the Union Square area. The distinctive building in Madison Square Park was designed by Sculpture in the Environment, an architectural and environmental design firm based in Lower Manhattan.

Since its opening, Shake Shack has proven popular with New Yorkers, even garnering the distinction of being named "Best Burger 2005" by New York magazine.[1] During the summer, the wait in line for service can stretch to over an hour, especially on weekends when the weather is pleasant. Their website has a webcam which shows the current line in real time. In 2007 the Shack began selling wine.

In 2008, a Shake Shack was opened on the Upper West Side. Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets baseball team in Queens, features a Shake Shack concession stand which opened along with the ballpark in 2009. On top of the Citi Field Shake Shack sits the model of the New York City skyline that used to sit on top of the scoreboard at Shea Stadium.[2] In 2010, Shake Shack restaurants were opened in the Theater District[3] and the Upper East Side.

Shake Shack restaurants are scheduled to be open in Battery Park City and the Fulton Street Mall in Brooklyn[4] in 2011.

In 2010, Shake Shack opened its first restaurant outside of New York City, in Miami's South Beach neighborhood. Danny Meyer has stated his intention to expand the chain throughout Miami. Also, Meyer helped opened a Shake Shack that summer at the Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York – in addition to a Blue Smoke barbecue concession – the first at a sporting venue other than Citi Field. Shake Shack has announced they will be expanding to Washington D.C. in 2011 with their first location to be placed at 1216 18th Street NW, [5] and to Westport, Connecticut at 1849 Post Road East.

The brand's first international location is planned to debut at Kuwait's Avenues Shopping Mall in late 2010.
