Cable Management

So I just moved into a new house, got new furniture, etc.

I bought this giant entertainment center from IKEA:

It has no backings at all, except behind the TV / two shelves underneath the TV. What do you guys recommend for a cabling solution? I've been browsing around a few websites, mainly, http://cableorganizer.com .

I was thinking mounting one of these http://cableorganizer.com/surface-ra...annel.htm#3398 at the back of the entertainment center and using some tubing to conceal the rest of the wiring? What do you guys recommend?

Also, can anyone recommend some kind of gaming console/device switch? I have enough HDMI ports to suffice, but, I'm looking for a little AV cord/switch to string behind the entertainment center as well. This would be for the occasional play of N64/other random vintage consoles. It would avoid the hassle of moving my TV, etc.

Anything is good as long as it organises, hides, and does what you want. It just depends if it fits your situation. Hell, often time twisty ties are fine.
For that id just drill 2 holes in the back and let the wires dangle.

All your cables are gonna go down so id cover that whole bottom sections back with something.
get some cardboard spray paint it black or big sheets of black posterboard
Staple dat bitch on the back.
Cut out some holes where you need cables to run from.
Put some picture frames and other random eye catching shit in the shelfs..

Yeah I'd maybe think of adding some sort of poster-board backing to that whole thing and just creating holes in the backing to put the cables through, otherwise you're going to have to staple the ever-living shit out of things to keep them running along the frame and out of view from the front. As far as the cable organizer, I'm all about the twisty-ties/staples solutions myself.

Go with a receiver to plug everything into rather then a separate switch.

If you can find it, I got a system switch from Gamestop for like $20. Overpriced, but works

I got the exact cabinet at home. At ikea they sell these cube baskets that fit exactly the holes in this thing, so I bought 5 of them to hide the cables at the bottom. Looks pretty good too! And they're like drawers to put in your game controllers etc.

Link? I can't find them on the website. Also, their demo unit at the store had cabinet doors that you can install onto them, but I can't find them anywhere on the site.

Eh, you're talking about furniture. Sure some shit looking bucket would work (not to mention they're not going to fit perfectly), but I sure aint going to be cheap about it and you're only talking about like $5-$10 extra per basket.
