Possible to deploy Google Drive enterprise wide (Macs)

Anyone know of any sort of packaging tool Google offers for packaging Google Drive? using JAMF Casper and Composer and taking a screenshot of my system, installing Google Drive and then creating a pkg or dmg from that doesn't seem to work very well. I'm getting issues where the dock.dmg we have built for our package configuration gets screwed up when googledrive.dmg is put in the mix.

I thought about writing a script to install it, but since it's install is a "drag to applications folder, then run .app" type install I have no idea how to get that to work. I did a shell script that mounted the dmg, copied the contents to applications and then unmounted the dmg but when looking in Applications after the imaging is done the copy wasn't completed and I have no clue why.

I've done a lot of google drive stuff, but none for MAC, so I can't give you any personal experience. However, I have found this link helpful at times:

Yeah the thing that sucks is we won't have a central server for the macs so I can't effectively push out Google Drive to them even if I could package it, which is looking like I can't. I still have no idea why it keeps breaking the dock though, if I could fix that issue I might get somewhere, but its a no go when it busts up the dock on me.

Hmm interesting, seems like an open source type of what we are using currently (JAMF Casper/Composer).

I was able to get Google Drive to work by imaging the install.dmg onto the desktop and then writing up a script to mount it, copy the files to /Applications, unmount and delete the dmg and then run the .app to populate the preferences and plist.

Thanks for the link though Rat, might be something i'll keep in mind if we run into any snags later on.
