Need help finding author or books. Not sure if they are the same author. [May contain spoilers? idk]

If I remember correctly, there were 2 thriller stories in 1 book that eventually came together in the end. From what I can remember, one book was about this quiet woman who finds an envelope with some cash in it and an address or directions to another envelope with money in it. This continues with the amount increasing but the difficulty of obtaining them increase too. It eventually escalates into craziness. I don't remember the second story, if there was even one.

The second book had to do with a camping trip with a guy and his wife or GF. The guy doesn't want to because of a traumatizing past experience with his mother being raped and killed. The second story is about a woman who likes to sneak into peoples' houses that are out of town for a week or more at a time and live there while they are gone. She stays in one house and when she is about to leave, she checks out the house next door, and the guy has crazy snuff porn or some shit and she is all like WTF and then he knocks her out or something, and brings her to the woods and shit happens and other stuff.

Does any of this ring a bell with anyone? lol

These were very adult and very... creepy I guess. Not really romantic at all. One included sex slaves that had limbs cut off or some shit? It was a crazy story lol
