Sager Laptop worries
I'm looking to purchase this guy:
http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.p...el_name=NP5160
I attempted to call to make the order as I don't want an OS loaded on it and I kept getting poor attitudes with their sales department. They sounded like the call center was run from some apartment. This makes me nervous to spend over 1k on anything they have.
Has anyone ordered directly from this website? If so, did you get your Laptop in a timely manner and were there any issues with your machine?
Oh, for the peeps that are wondering why I did not buy the battalion laptop from Ibuypower.com, when I went to order it they had discontinued the model I wanted.

Bought a Sager probably 2-3 years ago. Never had any issues with it, never called customer service. I don't use it a ton though.

I bought my Sager from pctorque.com.
They give you the option (online) to not have an OS installed on it.
I dealt with them through e-mail only on some other issues, and they were great.

I see. I appreciate your response. However before you had made them I did a comparison to a Dell XPS and a comparable sager...
I get a better GPU an OS, bigger HDD, better overall CPU, and some other goodies with the Dell, than the sager...
Only difference between the two is the Sager has a fingerprint reader and 2 GB more RAM, The Dell has facial recognition, a device to allow me to wirelessly use my TV as a monitor and get a 27% discount on the XPS due to me being a student and other reasons.
I'll spend less for more with the XPS so.. yeah I got my laptop otw after weeks of deliberation. Man, I am a indecisive person.
Thx guys for all your help.

I just got a Dell XPS 15", and have been moderately happy. I have to say, however, that although the dell has better specs than other PCs I looked at, it still runs very sluggish at times. You save with dell due to the cheap shit components they build with.

ehh it's a risk I am willing to take. I have never bought from any other online vendor other than newegg and dell, so it makes me hesitant to spend over 1k on anyone without knowing thorough details on how others have been treated with a particular company.
I mean the GPU is a NVIDIA GeForce GT540M 2GB graphics with Optimus and I get a sandy bridge i7 2630QM I mean the motherboard alone is made by intel usually yes? Well at least for dells?
My biggest gripe is bloatware, biggest reason why I want no OS loaded, When I get this XPS I will immediately have to wipe and reinstall windows.
Additionally, I don't expect to use the laptop as a primary gaming machine, but for media, travel, school and gaming on the side. Just a way to be mobile for when the opportunity arises. Either way I would hope I get a good life out of this laptop. Though just because I bought a dell laptop, you won't ever catch me buying a dell desktop pre-built.

I bought mine at xoticpc. You can configure it to not ship with an OS online.
It's great btw... I love mine.
