So many folks on GAF complaining that his game didn't need a remake... I don't get it.
...do they not remember how primitive the game was, or did they just not watch the trailer?

The graphics and lighting in that trailer are 1000x better than Original or PS3 remake, on top of the fact that it's an amazing game.

I do hope they include the two missing colossi in this release.

There were a lot more than 2 missing colossi. Off the top of my head they scrapped the Phoenix, Imp/Demon, Monkey, Worm, Roc, and Boar. I'm also of the mind that I didn't think the game needed a remake but as long as it's the same game with possibly some previous cut content (like the infamous Dam structure) I see no reason to complain.

I'm in the boat the game didn't need a remake UNLESS this is to gather interest in making a sequel (please). Game was great, but to me it has little replay value once you've figured out the fights.

Put the surround sound on, turn it up, and prepare to be immersed in one of the most atmospheric games ever made. Each fight is unique and epic in it's own way, and the visuals are amazing even back on the ps2 days.

It's a great game, it really evokes a sense of playing a film ( I can't really name many other games that do this ) and also solitude.
Gameplay isn't earth shattering but it's very solid.

Also full orchestral soundtrack.
