    Guildleve Revisions

    *The following revisions, planned for patch 1.19, are still in development, and therefore subject to change.

    Patch 1.19 will see further revisions to the guildleve system.

    These revisions are intended to create a more flexible play style for levequests as well as streamline the overall system. To accomplish this goal, the ability to accrue and store guildleves will be introduced, certain aspects of regional and local leves will be standardized, and the guildleve system will receive an overall UI adjustment.


    Guildleve Issuance

    Guildleve issuance will be revised as follows:

    • Players will receive an allowance of four leves every 12 hours (Earth time), up to maximum of 99.

    • The allowance will be shared amongst regional, local, and faction leves.

    • The Adventurers’ Guild will update its list of leves when you complete (or fail) a levequest, or when an additional allowance is issued.

    • The ability to exchange leves and the associated bonuses will be abolished. However, alternate bonuses will be introduced by way of a new evaluation system.

    * Players who have reached the allowance cap may choose to return leves.


    Levequest History and Evaluation

    Upon completing a levequest and collecting the rewards, the leve will be moved from the player’s Journal to Levequest History, which displays the details of the eight most recently completed leves. Requesting an evaluation at the Adventurers’ Guild with at least one levequest in the history will earn you a new leve, the nature of which varies based on your levequest history. At this point in time your history will be cleared.

    * Leves issued via the evaluation count towards the player’s allowance.

    In patch 1.19, the combination of levequests in the history will determine the bonuses granted upon completing a levequest issued via evaluation. However, the evaluation system will be expanded in the future.


    Retrying Levequests

    Players will be given the option to retry a failed levequest at the cost of a leve allowance.

    • Regional and Faction Levequests

    The retry option will be available in the Journal entry, at the Adventurers’ Guild, and the aetheryte menu.

    • Local Levequests

    The retry option will be available in the Journal entry, at the Adventurers’ Guild, and in the option menu displayed upon failure.


    Abandoning Levequests

    The option to abandon levequests will be added to the Journal entry. Players may choose to abandon leves regardless of success and failure.
    It's going to be more of a constant flow of leves, and a little less of waiting for a damn hour to come up every few days. I enjoy this. Also, good riddance to that leve exchanging shit.

    They just had to go tweak that guildleve/time ratio did they. Well, maybe the fact that local and regional leves are shared will make it less shitty.

    How is the fact that they are shared making it less shitty? You now get 12 per 36hr instead of 8 + 8 so it's either better (for people who only play one type) or worse because you now get 12 instead of 16.

    Surprised at the 99 cap though.

    Because if it wasn't that way, the exp/leve ratio would have to be tweaked to reflect the fact that it's 12 per 36h rather than eight.

    So despite stacking system which could be used to great advantage towards saving anima, we will be forced to return to AG to get evaluated and obtain more (new or the same) leves since only the recent 8 will be in your journal history? I'm not sure i got that part right, english is not my main. Still it's a nice change for players that for various reasons can`t do leves every cycle.

    To be honest I'm not really sure I see much of an issue, if you don't play frequently so they stack up you'll probably have anima to spare anyways? I wouldn't expect things to be balanced with Anima in mind very much being as I could see it being phased out at least partially once other methods of transportation are released.

    Hot damn! I expected them to let you store somewhere around (or just shy of) a weeks worth, so that you could play every weekend and not "fall behind". But this is almost two weeks, which is pretty impressive.

    It says the list will be updated when you complete/fail a leve, so I wonder if you can dedicate all 99 to one DoL/DoH instead of running out.

    This works out *really* well with my playstyle, as I'll often have several days in a row where I can't play but then a large chunk of time where I can.

    It seems like if we store up 24 for example, we will have to do 8, then run back to town to pick up 8 more, do those, then run back to town to pick up the final 8. I think they mentioned that we will be able to accept leves at the camps in the future right? Maybe now is the future since that seems like a long time ago. I guess with Chocobos it won't be too bad.

    That's what I was thinking too.

    Now I'll have to log my husband in once or twice a day during the week to grab him more leves to do on the weekend (oh boy, we're evil casuals )

    Weekends we play enough we sit around with nothing to do after we finish our 18+18, or more if we time it right with refreshes

    I like this, I can snag some battle leves during the week while picking a few btn ones, and not fall another 30k behind him because of the bonus at the end like I usually do cause I wind up with a few stray BTN ones taking up the slots

    This kinda sucks for people like me who use all 16 Regional and local leves every reset but it's probably over all a good thing for the game.

    I'm glad I got my BTN and MIN to 50 already. I can live with skipping battle leves but field leves are the only real way to rank up DoL past 40. I wouldn't sacrifice crafting leves for anything. Looks like I'll just be taking 12 of those. My FSH will be put on hold for a while and I will stop doing battle leves too.

    I'm fine with battle/craft leves drawing from the same (increased) pot. When I go to collect local leves and there's nothing but shitty low level ones that would give me 150 skill/craft with the amazing reward of 3 cotton bolls/copper ore/dodo skins it's very annoying.

    At least now I can accept the worthwhile ones and instead of filling in the rest with junk I can use them for extra battle leves.

    And I still don't get why we can't receive leves on a singular basis. Is there a reason for giving us 4/12 hrs instead of 1/3hrs?

    Yeah, people who are able to really max out the system now do face a bit of a drawback, and I sympathize. But the number of people who will benefit from being able focus more on one class if they wish, or make a choice in how they split, will be a huge advantage to the overall life of the game.

    DoL leves are going to be *extremely* overpowered if they don't somehow curb the SP gain on them. Although, there's virtually no reason to do a single DoL leve after around rank 40-41 because you can already get every item offered at Grade 5.

    4 leves every 12 hours versus 8 leves every 36 hours.

    That is like 12 leves / 36 hours versus 8 battle/regional/faction & 8 local every 36 hours.

    Really it's an increase because there is never 8 local leves worth doing in one leve period. Maybe when you're pre-20, but after that you're pretty much chained to your guild's city for the majority of the time. I never see R30 culinarian leves in Ul'dah for example, and I only get 3 in Limsa.

    I like the change a lot, to be honest.

    dumb question but does this make a crafting mule more viable? Stack battle leaves on one char and craft leaves on another?
