BG SSF4AE Tournament(XBOX) 9/9/11-9/11/11

Edits: Alright we're looking at the weekend of 9/9-9/11. I'll see if it's possible to get some of the early matches done on the Friday, then hopefully knock most of it out on Saturday. I'll try to make things as flexible as possible and slide people around to avoid any DQs from people not showing, but I'm not going to want to hold entire rounds up for one person either.

Rules:

- Single-elimination, one loss and you're out.
- First round through semifinals will be first to take two sets of Best of 3.
- Grand Finals and semifinals losers will be first to take three sets of Best of 3 to determine 1st/2nd/3rd places.
- You will be locked into whichever character you select for your first fight for the remainder of the tournament.
- Matchups can schedule their own matches anytime after Friday, 9/2, though I strongly request that you send me a replay watch invite afterwards.







Anyways, post if you intend to sign up, and your XBL tag, and any feedback you have to give regarding the structure and rules of
the tournament.

That link offers a few simple suggestions, but the main point is the bracket files. Once the tournament starts, it basically fills itself out.

I don't think we need a significant prize (we all pretty much have a stick so having an SE stick as a prize is not really attractive to me, unless it's something like the big Hori stick lol). Maybe something cool like special BG privileges?

Having organized 2 tourneys before (both for PS3 and 360) I can tell you it's mad hard to get all the peeps together for a specific date and time. I made the brackets and basically left it up to them when they wanted to play their games. I had a few DNPs but there was a nice chunk that did participate. Besides the set date and now that there's money involved probably less will join. Either way, good luck w/ the tourney.

Yeah suggestions are welcome on that end, maybe if the admins have some BG swag or if anyone has any Capcom goodies to donate to the cause. The entry fee was just something tossed out there if we wanted a high-end prize, it was nowhere near the top of the list in the plans.

I don't think any high-end prize for the winner is necessary, just playing for shits and giggles is enough for me in my opinion. I say just setup a date and have people show up online and use the tournament feature. Make it a single-elimination tournament but with a setup of five rounds, with grand finals being best two out of three. Seeding can be determined by PP.

The two player team style though..ugh...I don't know. If Deejay is getting teamed up with Scunsion then I want Weltall on mine.
