Major Issues with Firefox..

Having a bit of a problem here. I could have posted it in the Firfox thread, but this shit is just crazy.

Firefox is all up to date, along with Flash player noscript and all that crap. It was working fine until the other day. I honestly don't know what happened, but whenever there is an embedded video or picture now, it won't open the window, and if I go to another tab to try and open another page, it just hangs forever and I'm forced to shut down. PC is clean, would really have to hate and reformat again. Only thing I installed recently was Origin, so I don't know if it's that.

Anyone else have this issue? I've tried IE and Chrome, and they both seem fine. It's just Firefox.

Have you reinstalled firefox? When did it start happening? After an update, or just randomly? Have you tried a different version (nightly, or if you're using it already try 7)?

Are you sure NoScript isn't blocking the specific address for the video?

That obviously wouldn't cause it to hang.

Run safe mode on a page you know is clean that has the problem and see if it still opens fine. If it does, it's typically a problem with one of the extensions. Otherwise, it could mean a lot of things, like a bad plugin, or possibly something on a driver level since crap like flash are hardware accelerated by default these days.

I ended up changing the max connections to 48. It was set to 256 and that fixed it immediately.

Ah, I have been having this exactl problem. Even down to the Origin-is-the-only-thing-i-recently-installed-part.

having same problems but only with video's and only if i open in new tab

Type in about:config in the address bar.

Then look for network.http.max-connections-per-server

It should say 256. Change it to 48, should be solved. Hope that helps!
