Looking for advice on new headphones

I am looking to buy a new pair of headphones but I'm not really sure where to start looking. I know that I want to use the headphones for exercising/working out, leisurely for long trips and on a casual basis as well. I am not a fan of earbuds or any type of headphone that has to rest inside your ear. I know that if I want even semi decent quality, I'm going to have spend a little more but that is okay.

Anyone have suggestions or experience with a pair of headphones and can point me in the right direction?

EDIT: I've noticed that some crybaby in the Amazon reviews stated that they're fragile; they're wrong. I've been lugging my pair around in the bottom of a Timbuk2 bag for three or four years, and I've shoved all sorts of shit in there, not to mention the fact that I've thrown it all over the place. They're retarded, ignore them.
