Fuck Resolutions. How did you fare last year and what do you hope to do this year?

Last year was alright emotionally for me, despite the fact that I dropped out of college and continue to be unemployed since. I got a pizza delivery 'interview' (read: meet and greet, 'take this job') Monday so I'm on the right track. 800+ credit card debt later and a missed spring college financial aid deadline later this year's goals consist of 1. Getting a job 2. Destroying what meager debt I have 3. Getting back in school before I'm dropped from my military medical coverage in October. Not hard really. If anything, without dropping out I would have never found myself like I did. In the long scheme of things I'm super happy things played out like they did.

Anyway how was your year and what are your goals for this new year?

Last year was fucking awesome for me. Saw the last few places in the world I wanted to see before dying, got promoted in my dream job, upgraded to a 7-series BMW, bought a baller house, and finally broke a 12 minute two-miler. Wifey wants kids for the new year so I guess that's a goal lol, her biological clock be ticking and I've ran out of excuses to delay it. Personal goal though is to ease up on drinking lol, I get away with way too much shit lmao.

For me definitely work to better the relationship between my gf and i (better trust, sex, etc.). O and job interview for a much better paying job coming up soon, so hopefully i can finally be a lot more financially stable. I hate having to worry about running out of money for groceries, car maintenance, etc, and only being able to afford my bills.

I had planned on going to a party with a bunch of my friends from college but my wife got sick so we spent the night at home with me taking care of her. I guess this is what growing up starts to look like.

On topic, last year was a mix of great and shit. Great because I got married to my g/f of 7 years. It was also shit because my school districts budget came up almost 1 million dollars short so I was one of twenty teachers to get axed (only had been there for a year and a half). I'm hoping to find a new job and soon this year. While I'm grateful for unemployment, I definitely miss working and am eager to get back to establishing a career.

My Goal is for this year to not go by so fucking fast. I swear 2011 almost never happened it was so quick, and yet so much shit happened.

Through 2011 I got 2 raises that equalled 11% of my income (first I was supposed to get in 2010 when I got promoted but my dick company never did it, had to fight for it), lost my overtime which was roughly 6%, took a 13% pay cut that my company didn't even tell me about. All of a sudden it's like hey...where is that money I usually get and they were like oh yeah, deal with it and go back to work. Was told that I wasn't going to be promoted because of the building I worked in even though I was more qualified than the individuals they were promoting (in top 2% of company and already a supervisor) and then put in charge of a team anyway without the pay increase and finally said fuck it. Took me 72 hours to find a new job that pays me the same salary but with a million other benefits and uncapped commission in a place that's been voted best business to work in twice the last 5 years and been in the running every year.

I start Jan 3rd and am looking forward to 2012.

Whether my 2012 sucks or not will be determined pretty early. Jan. 29th I have to take TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean). If I score high enough, then I will be able to begin an undergrad program here in Korea, likely moving up to Seoul. On the other hand, if I don't do well on the test then I will more than likely have to pack up and go back to The States in August. This will be a fairly stressful first month of 2012, for sure.

job wise I'm fine. health wise it's a work in progress. lost over 80 lbs. the past year. I have another 90-100 I want to lose. hope to get close to or get to my goal by the end of 2012.

Last year was ok; nothing all that great happened. Certainly better than 2010 though. Almost lost one of my uncles, but he's doing better now. Over the summer, I got to see people I hadn't in what seemed like forever, including my maternal grandmother. 2011 was about recovering from the aftermath of my mother's death toward the end of the previous year and moving forward. Let's see what 2012 brings!

This is the most fucked up New Year's I've ever had. Got word earlier that my cousin shot himself after he went AWOL for the last few days, military showed up to get him I guess and then he did it. Was told he died, then an hour later that they managed to revive him. Then another hour went by and got told he died. Now it's three hours later and I just got word from his sister that he's alive. gd
