Where did it say she had 25 horses? I thought she only had one the rest of the horses belonged to other people. A lot of people board their horses at big stables that charge a monthly fee and have many customers.

Growing up some of the poorest people I knew had horses. With horse people it always seemed to be one extreme or the other. You are either very poor and you dump all your money into owning a horse or you are extremely rich and have many horses.

Anecdote etc. but it still is evidence that not all people who own horses are filthy rich or "on a different level". In fact in the area I live now which is somewhat rural (northern Nevada) there are lots of lower income and middle class families all around me that own horses. And also some of the giant mansions with tons of horses too.

Edit: I don't own a horse.
